Snow Day

My daughter =)

Don't worry mom and dad, I PROMISE Chad was going really slowly as he pulled Camp around on the sled =) with the four-wheeler!

*Nash was enjoying some special time with Ninny this day =)

Camp's K4 Play

On February 17th, Camp had his k4 play at MRA. It was PRECIOUS! The theme (obviously) was a Red White and Blue!
The picture below was when Camp saw us for the first time =)
(I got there really early and got seats on the first row! For those of you that know me, this is a HUGE deal  b/c I am never on time these days!)
This was during his class' "song". His poor head bobbers kept falling off, (big head, remember?), so he just took them off and kept singing! I was so proud. He could have messed with them the whole time, but he didn't.
Below is one of my favorite things about this play. They learned the Lord's prayer and it was AWESOME. Camp came home talking about the Lord's Prayer the first day that they started learning it. Seriously, it took him less than a week to have it totally memorized! His sweet voice when he says, "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors" brings tears to my eyes everytime! Proud mommy moment.
Camp with my dad (Papaw) and my mom (Lele). Proud Grandparents!
Camp with Chad's mom (Ninny) and Chad's dad (Dee). Another set of proud grandparents!
 Proud mama and daddy!

Sweet Baby Tate

On February 12th, we were blessed with another newphew! Jonathan and Gretchen had TATE and we are so glad he is here, happy and healthy! He is a doll and Gretchen is a champ! The whole family is smitten with him. Below is the proud new Daddy talking to his son...
Look at how Jonathan is looking at G in this picture!!!

Chad's Mission Trip

Chad went to Albania in February for a week. He had a wonderful time and learned a lot. His time was blessed and he knows that he wants to go back again.
Below is a picture of a demonstration that went on outside their hotel the first morning. Chad said that there were easily 6,000 people there - and they were playing ACDC music REALLY loudly and shooting fireworks! It freaked him out at first when he heard the fireworks (thought it was gunfire), but he realized that it was a peaceful rally. (Click on the picture and you can better see how many people are there).
The night before Chad left, Camp was a little teary. Chad was talking to him about what he was doing and where he would be going. Camp got up and ran and got one of his favorite transformer cars and told Chad to take it to a 'boy who looks like me, is five and likes to play soccer'. This is a picture of a sweet lady with Bethany that was going to give the car to just  the right boy!
Traveling up the mountain to the World Vision school. This was a roadside vendor. Chad bought some fruit so he could take this picture.
They had an overnight layover in Vienna, Austria on the way back. Chad said it was BEAUTIFUL!

Nash went and rode horses at one of his friend-girl's birthday party...
 Nash and "Tate-Tate"
Chad may or may not have helped coach Camp's soccer game dressed like this:

OHhhhhhh yes. he. did. I bout died! It was pretty funny. He didn't care one bit what people thought of it either! (ps- Camp still loves soccer... so he is playing Spring soccer, too!)

The Dixie National Rodeo 2011

And we continued with a Segrest family tradition of
going to the Dixie National rodeo!
*We get a hat every year for the boys. Camp has my head - poor kid! It is B.I.G. as in, notorious.
This year his hat size was...........
wait for it........................................
..........................................
ADULT MEDIUM!!!!!
As he says, "That's where I keep all my smarts!"

Christmas Love

A Christmas tradition in my family (for as long as I can remember) is to get together on Christmas Eve, exchange gifts, eat a lot and laugh a lot! It was always at my parents house when I was little - and the past two years, we have had it at our house. It is the same ole faces, though! I look forward to this night year after year.
Another Christmas tradition that my grandmother (Mama Caro who passed away last year) started when I was little was matching pj's for the cousins on Christmas Eve! My mom took over this grandmotherly duty when our kids were born and it is so fun! Also, this year, Chad's mama, Ninny gave our boys matching pj's at Christmas too! SO FUN!
I love pictures of my parents with their grandbabies!
Below...
Proof: Papaw's are sweet. Girls are sugar and spice. And boys are silly.
 Me and my man
My Mama, sister, Daddy and me.
Sisters. Caroline has gotten really into taking our picture together! I love it! She used to never want her picture made - who knows why?! She was Most Beautiful, after all!
Commentary of taking a family picture with a sugared up 3 and 5 year old:
Daddy: This is NOT happening. WHY are you making us do this???
Mama: Shut up and do it. Don't give up. You MUST hold tight and make him smile. Or else.
CHEESE!
And DONE. Thanks Dad for the ear to ear smile and the tickle monster skills.
My mom will be mad at me for posting this picture, but I love it. She's purdy.
We do a lot of this when we get together. My Daddy sure is a looker, ain't he?!
Poppy and Becky (my sister's in-laws) cracking up (with Aunt Char on the edge).
THIS is why they were laughing! This is the t-shirt that my mom got for Mr. Tommy. They have this funny little rivalry that started a LONG time ago giving eachother gag gifts on Christmas eve!
Nash got his very own cowbell from Aunt Char!

And Camp got a new jersey and a cool MSU truck!
